The American Company, ETI Holdings and its daughter companies were involved internationally in Hazardous Waste Management, High Tech and mineral Export and International Construction Projects. These included design and construction of resource recovery facilities, to the export of portable housing for emergency and long term housing needs. We exported Water Treatment equipment for both potable water to water treatment plant equipment for industrial plants to municipalities. ETI was the abbreviation for the name Environmental Technologies International, which was used in many project offices. Special projects included environmental, industrial waste management services internationally. Our daughter company, Environmental International, Inc. (EII) was at this time an EPA ( US Environmental Protection Agency ) and local government approved and permitted high- tech Hazardous Waste treatment company. EII’s EPA Permitted main plants and facilities were in Kansas City. It also had permitted facilities in Denver Colorado and Washington State . These companies were owned, operated and also founded by its principal. The ETI/EII organizations served over 450 Electrical Power Companies from Kansas Power and Light to Southern Cal Edison in environmental training , remediation ,to hazardous and toxic waste disposal . In the minerals industry - the companies provided environmental services from coal mining operations in Missouri to heavy metal decontamination International at the copper and silver mines of the Anaconda Corporation to the Uranium mines and facilities of Atlas Minerals.Metal that were recovered from projects were sold.
In 1982, when the North America office was formed , it participated in research and development in special engineering projects and Asbestos engineering and decontamination for Denver’s International Airport for the City of Denver Colorado, to the Government of New Mexico, Dioxin decontamination in one of their schools. The company also represented international firms in project management and off shore facility acquisition, to include acquisition risk analysis from Italy to Indonesia. Many the companies were involved in major international environmental projects and international project management and export of goods and services. ETI’s offices in Nevada served as a Hazardous Emergency responder and remediation company for the Southern Pacific Railroad, the Highway Patrol for State of Nevada, UPS ( United Parcel Service ) and many others. In 1987 ETI received “the Prestigious Industry Award from the Governor of Nevada” for its work in the environmental field with mining companies, local governmental fire and police departments. and heavy industry.
Between 1982 and 1985 .the company owners sold it's Kansas City operating plant (Environmental International Inc.EII ) to Waste Management Inc., a public corporation, and part of its remaining US offices to private companies which wanted to expand their services in the USA. The remaining Group Companies were consolidated or merged for better services in the high tech applications of involving petroleum trade and material transfer, in the international markets , This also included the establishment of new offices in New Zealand and at Subic Bay in the Philippines. The ownership remained the same through the pricipals of TANNE
The American company rapidly grew into numerous project and corporate offices in other states in the USA, and in Asia. These daughter companies operated in special engineering and export markets as Environmental Technologies International, ETI Group International -, and ETI of North America, and ETI Group International NZ. They performed specific Engineering management functions, from mineral development to metal extraction ; industrial waste management treatment and environmental services for industry in activities that included the supply and installation of water treatment technology, engineering services , and decontamination services for low level radioactive sites.
The company participated in the investigations in Colorado and Utah for Uranium/Radium contamination and completed the investigation and engineering for solutions for the largest of the contaminated Denver Radium Sites in Colorado USA - ..
The companies Principal provided environmental awards to individuals at the Waste Management Institute, in New Zealand, for study papers “on the best solutions to local environmental problems” to special environmental scholarships at the University of Missouri Geology department, USA.
Special project engineering continued from Switzerland and Tanne GmbH was re-founded as a Swiss company to expand a market for metals recovered and ore concentrates recovered. I
Tanne GmbH a Swiss company still supports Local International Project offices to serve their clients, locally in the host country. We usually participate as partners to solve local problems. Past offices included a joint venture with Westinghouse Asia, in Singapore, Motor Columbus in Switzerland ,Germany and CalTex in Asia and others. The work accomplished over the years used a broad range of scientific and engineering technology, partnership networks of experts and our own mining services and trading company.
International operations continued for projects related to technology export, resource recovery, industrial waste minimization and emergency construction engineering services. Tanne/ETI Holdings presently has a professional management staff of about 45 employees and partners and, at times has-employed in excess of 250 scientists, engineers and support personnel for projects in Construction, Resource Recovery and Industrial Waste Management .
Tanne GmbH , a Swiss Company ,owned by The origional ETI’s Company's principals still partner with individuals and companies on a technical consultancy basis and help clients in the development of their New Technologies worldwide. Tanne GmbH is still very much involved with environmental engineering, project management and export from Europe, working from Switzerland serving the Americas, China, and Africa. We have been successful in providing crude oil and refined products from companies we own or partner with.. and we have assisted many companies establish relationships for banking and services from Switzerland to the Arab Gulf.
